Tuesday, in class, we were handed out an analysis of the short-story butterflies, by Particia Grace. A story about a young girl and her grandparents. The grandparents were proud of her girl going to school, and brag about it to their neighbors. The little girl comes home from school with a story she wrote, about killing butterflies.
I thought the analysis were good. As I look through the text i can see several words and expressions that combines the text.
As example:
"The story begins with"
"The short-story is set" etc.
Furthermore the author shows his knowledge and awareness as he write. By indicate the different relationships the teacher and the family have to butterflies, he explains and enlighten the reader. He's pointing out the class distinction in a great way. He shows us that he had thought well about the story's content and tried to figure out the story's deeper meaning.
In my opinion, the text has a good structure with well chosen paragraph's.
His vocabulary is clearly enlarged and he shows us his knowledge and understanding in this subject. His analysis is a good inspiration for other students who's writing an own analysis.
